IT and interconnectivity
PCG Information Technology
In the technology division, our priority is aiding the delivery of outstanding patient care. Our robust IT Infrastructure uses innovative technology to reliably deliver a trusted and efficient remote cardiology solution.
Pulse Cardiology Group have partnered with leading global providers of imaging IT solutions that support healthcare in achieving patient-centric care, to provide a truly integrated, end-to-end cardiac imaging service, looking after patients from scan referral through to the final report.
With 30 years of innovation and 2,000 installations worldwide, Sectra offers an enterprise imaging solution comprising PACS for imaging-intense departments such as cardiology, Vendor Neutral Archives, and share and collaborate solutions.
The Sectra Image Exchange Portal (IEP) enables us to efficiently and securely exchange and access imaging information. Sectra IEP helps PCG share more knowledge and information, and makes sure that the relevant patient information is available whenever and wherever needed.
The cloud-based and vendor-neutral solution enables groups to share without the need for CDs, USB drives, or paper copies—helping improve patient data security. It also supports competence and resource exchange, making it possible for two parties to efficiently collaborate around workload balancing or second opinion workflows for instance.
Our Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS) is a custom DICOM viewer platform designed for robust and secure storage, processing, routing and report generation. It fully supports DICOM standards and advanced DICOM viewing with multiple third-party post processing analysis tools. The PACS allows users to take full advantage of images from various modalities in order to obtain invaluable diagnostic information and images. The viewer provides simple zero-footprint access to internal or third-party PACS or DICOM archives.
A flexible clinical worklist manager provides tailored specialist work-lists for clinicians.
Reviewing the most common cardiovascular procedures from a single workstation helps us increase reading efficiency greatly. With a consolidated, enterprise imaging approach to cardiology, we also decrease the cost and complexity of our IT infrastructure, as well as getting a more comprehensive patient overview. The patient care team can also access patient information across clinical specialties, helping improve collaboration and clinical outcomes.
Pulse Cardiology Group is partnering with some of the largest names in healthcare to develop sophisticated Cardiovascular Imaging post processing solutions. We are improving patient outcome by modernizing the cardiovascular healthcare industry through innovation and enabling clinicians to complete effective and precise analysis. Our proprietary evaluation and reporting technology utilises AI solutions to empower our clinicians to make faster, more accurate decisions on diagnosis of cardiovascular disease.
Pulse Cardiology Group aims to be a leader in providing centralised imaging services and information sharing between health providers. The group uses both a web portal and connected health systems to enable different organisations to instantly share images. Our IT system infrastructure is multi-vendor compliant, enabling PACS suppliers such as Agfa, Carestream and other trusted vendors to move images between trusts across the United Kingdom. This allows clinicians instant access to these images, enabling better care outcomes for patients.
Clinical safety – The transfer time of imaging contributes to improved clinical safety during peak and critical periods. It also helps to manage patient emergency cases effectively. The increased bandwidth enabled by HSCN connectivity allows the platform to significantly improve traffic flow of images.
